Servitude - A4

Editors' note: The whole structure of Indian society is based on a caste system. The objective idea was for people to keep within their correct limitations, to be what they were, but the system was used in the wrong way by the Brahmans to gain power.

Servitude can arise through literal interpretation of the religion. The Hindu conditioning against killing animals, for example, can mean the poor starve in the streets while temple rats are fed grain because the rat was one of the manifestations of Vishnu. This attitude shows a lack of intellect.
