Artist's note: This painting shows the state of people who are godless and completely materialistic. They, like men of all degrees, are a part of the atmosphere of the Earth on a personal scale. No one can help them but themselves. These are the people Lord Buddha and the Christian gospels speak of as being dead. On another level the painting shows negative emotions feeding the Moon.
