Teachings of Mr Gurdjieff

Kundabuffer - A4

Artist's note: The organ kundabuffer is what makes us forget both ourselves and God, and it is the handmaiden of inattention. In Gurdjieff’s teaching story, All and Everything, it is described as an organ planted in man to make him forget; when circumstances later changed and it was removed, the effects nevertheless persisted. It is in everyone until they start working on themselves, which removes the organ, but the consequences remain for many years, giving us the required shocks to continue working on ourselves.
