Negative Attitudes
Bed - A4
Editors' note: Abdullah believes many people retreat to their beds in an escapist way, relating bed to their mother’s womb. They
seek peace and security there from the struggle and uncertainties of life. Negative anticipation would be the main reason people do not want
to get out of bed, but laziness would be another factor. Those who negatively anticipate the day ahead can stall reality by clinging to the
blankets. Commonsense should prevail – warmth and rest are necessary for health, but we should be wary of indulging the body. As part of
making the body obedient we need to cultivate the habit of getting up regularly at an appropriate time.
