This series of five paintings is on the teachings of Zoroaster, as set forth in the Zend-Avesta. Zoroaster means ‘shining star’ and is a title rather than a name. Many have borne this title or national variants of it, such as Zarathustra. A painting of Lord Zoroaster is in the series ‘Perfected Men of our Solar System’.
