from The Gospel According to St John
Jesus admonished the disciples: ‘Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? … Lift up your eyes and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.’ [4:35] The time to work on yourself is now, not later. The field of esoteric truth is all ready to be reaped. ‘I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour’; [4:38] you may not have laboured to gain esoteric knowledge, but Christ himself is giving out this knowledge. It is the Logos, the third force of the Sun, that has sown.
At this point in the story Jesus went back to Galilee, to the place where he worked his first miracle, and at the seventh hour his second miracle was completed. He had completed an octave and had to start a new one. Galilee here represents the realm of the spirit; he went back to his source. He testified that ‘a prophet hath no honour in his own country’, [4:44] which is outwardly very true – in all walks of life people fail to appreciate those around them, but you have a prophet inside you that you do not recognise. Your body does not value this prophet so you do not honour him.
