    Attachment [2]

Editors' note: All suffering comes from attachment to the body and ego. Desires keep us attached, but if we can make a separation we need not become immersed. We try to be in the world but not of it, we can be attached to things without being lost in them as with identification, which is much wider ranging. Most attachment is negative but there is the possibility it can be positive. A person can be attached to the spiritual path he is following, to the Work, to God, but ultimately he has to surrender this and lose himself in God. Then there is nonattachment.
